Usage Limits
Each IntelliRepo plan has limits on queries, documents, storage, and users. This guide explains how limits work and what happens when you exceed them.

What Counts as a Query?
Each of these counts as one query:

What Doesn't Count

What Happens at Limits
Queries
When you reach your query limit:
- Service continues - No interruption
- Overage charges apply - $0.05 per additional query
- Alert sent - Admins notified via email
Documents
When you reach your document limit:
- Cannot upload more - New uploads are blocked
- Existing documents work - Chat and search continue
- Action needed - Delete documents or upgrade
Storage
When you reach your storage limit:
- Overage charges apply - $5 per additional 10 GB
- Uploads continue - Service not interrupted
- Alert sent - Admins notified
Team Members
When you reach your user limit:
- Cannot invite more - New invites blocked
- Existing users work - No disruption
- Action needed - Remove users or upgrade

Overages are charged at the end of your billing cycle.
Usage Alerts
IntelliRepo notifies you before hitting limits:

Checking Your Usage
- Go to Settings
- Click Usage
You'll see:
- Current queries vs. limit
- Documents uploaded
- Storage used
- Team size
Reducing Usage
Queries
- Educate users on efficient questioning
- Use search for simple lookups (same cost, but faster)
- Consolidate questions instead of asking multiple similar ones
Storage
- Delete outdated documents you no longer need
- Compress files before uploading (where quality permits)
- Remove duplicates across collections
Documents
- Combine related content into fewer files
- Archive old collections you don't actively use
- Delete failed uploads that aren't needed
Upgrading
When you consistently hit limits, consider upgrading:
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Upgrade Plan
- Choose your new plan
- Confirm the change

Enterprise Limits
Enterprise plans have:
- Higher base allocations
- Volume discounts on overages
- Custom limits available

Frequently Asked Questions
Do limits reset monthly?
Query limits reset on your billing date. Document and storage limits are cumulative.
Can I buy more queries without upgrading?
Yes, overage pricing lets you pay as you go beyond your limit.
What if I'm on annual billing?
Annual plans still have monthly query limits that reset each month.
Are API and web queries counted separately?
No, all queries count toward the same monthly limit regardless of source.
